Have you had unprotected sex and want to get yourself tested? It can take some time after getting an STI before it can be reliably detected by a test. This is called the window period. Test after the window period for the most reliable result.
Chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichomonas have a window period of 21 days.
For syphilis and HIV, wait 4 weeks after the last unprotected sexual contact.
(For HIV 2, a 6 week window period applies; HIV 2 is very rare in the Netherlands)

Your results will be ready within 1-3 working days after your samples arrive at the laboratory. You can view them via the results portal. Use the test codes from your samples to view your test results.
For chlamydia and trichomonas, we can get a free prescription for you.
For gonorrhea, you need an injection. You can arrange this with your own doctor. You can download the results and take them with you to your appointment.
If you have a positive syphilis and HIV result, we will refer you to your family doctor, HIV consultant or GGD.
